A love of drawing

As a child Troy loved to draw. With a pencil in hand and the freedom to create, many hours were spent dreaming up characters and making up stories.

“I had an Arnott’s biscuit tin filled with paper, pencils, odds and ends. On car trips it would sit on the floor, never too far away. Then one Christmas I received a Crayola Caddy. It became my most prized possession.”

A desire to create

Troy is the Creative Director of Paraphernalia, his one-man-brand studio. The idea that every day could be an opportunity to creatively tell stories is what drew Troy to graphic design.

“Whether I’m at work designing a new brand or at home trying a recipe for the first time, being creative is the perfect way for me to rekindle the pure joy of childhood.”

A story to share

Troy always dreamed of writing and illustrating his own children’s book. When he had the idea for a rainbow rhyme, he was inspired to make it a reality. The book is a special gift to his family.

“My wish was to create a fun, rhyming tale and bring it to life using bright colours, graphic shapes and patterns. The pages would be filled with memories of my childhood.”
